Brand new map for the first SMOC meet at Independence Oaks!
Using a detailed topographic map, find checkpoints around Independence Oaks County Park. Start from Twin Chimneys building.
This is very runnable terrain. As a bonus, there is no hunting allowed in this park!
We will have instruction available, please sign up in advance.
Note, this is an Oakland County park. If you do not have an Annual Vehicle Permit, there is a daily park entry fee:
- $5 per car per day: Oakland County resident discount rate
- $12 per car per day: Regular rate
- $4 per car per day: Seniors 62+/Adaptive/Military/Veterans
Red, Green, and Orange courses will go around Crooked Lake.
Control pick up begins at 2:30 PM, sunset is early this time of year!
