Sleepy Hollow is a large park, similar to Kensington Metropark, with a large lake created via a large earth dam. The park is about 20 minutes northeast of Lansing, near St. Johns, about an hour and twenty minutes from the Ann Arbor metro area. There are different parts of the park, that is enjoyed by mountain bikers, hikers, beachgoers, and equestrian riders. The trail system is very well marked, and we've gone ahead and put the trail intersection labels on the map as a nicety. During summer scouting, the park has lots of green with poison ivy very present, hopefully this will be less of an issue by fall time, but also lots of nice white woods. The vegetation is auto generated, has not been field checked and is only approximate, it is sufficient for the majority of route choice options.
In coordination with G.O.A.R (Great October Adventure Race, thru Lost Arrow Sports https://lostarrowsports.com/great-october-adventure-race/) group camping Friday and Saturday nights are available as an option during registration for the adventure race. So if you plan to do the AR, you can stay for the weekend to do the SMOC meet on Sunday. The park has many of its own reserve-able campsites as well via https://midnrreservations.com/
If you aren't familiar with Sleepy Hollow the park map is available here https://www2.dnr.state.mi.us/publications/pdfs/RecreationCamping/sleepy_hollow_map.pdf
