Brighton Area School Sprints return as part of the SMOC 1st Annual Season Roundup. The event will include food, giveaways, orienteering games for all ages, and lessons. This year offers short (approx 2K), long (approx 3.5K), or combo course length (5.5K with map exchange) options at Brighton High School to kick off our spring season. Start anytime between 11 and 3; courses close at 4 pm.
As part of the event, we are excited to expand our reach to youth and youth organizations through the Youth O-Challenge. Youth will be able to compete in the following categories:
High School (grades 9-12) (Long and Short) (Team or Solo)
Middle School (grades 6-8) (Long and Short) (Team or Solo)
Elementary (grades 3-5) (Short course only) (Team or Solo)
Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each category and each course.
**Open / non-school/non-troop folks can race in any group size they want from 1-infinity, and may do short, long, or the combo.
