Event Registration Info

1. The registrar note in the registration system are NOT read until about 11:05 pm Thursday. If you have urgent needs / questions / special requests you'd like addressed, please reach out beforehand separately.

2. Registration is per "start" or group, not per person. So if you and a friend are going, have one complete registration and have any additional people complete the online waiver. The registering person can order additional maps. Groups will share a timing stick. If you arrive and want extra maps bags for your extra maps, just ask.

3. If you are a member, you can use the member discount. If you are a member of another OUSA club, you can use RECIPROCAL to get the discount. Please don't use the discount if you aren't on the current membership list, or we reserve the right to cancel your registration.

4. Want to become a member or see the member list? Go here. Membership is now calendar year, running from 01/01 to 12/31, for administrative simplicity.

What happens if I sign up late?

1. You'll be charged more. We can process all on time registrations in one fell swoop which is nice and convenient. Unfortunately it takes almost as long to add an additional one and get it sent over to someone who might be deep in the woods!

2. Your check in process will not be as smooth. Depending on the volunteer staff antics that weekend (flag hanging, map printing, snack buying, map stuffing, family obligations), we may not get the timing system updated with late registrations. Expect what would have been 30 seconds at check in to be 5-10 minutes extra, as we will prioritize on time registration starts and fit you in when there's a gap.

3. Maps might run out. Variously this could mean, you can't do your first or second choice course, or you may have to draw your course by hand on a spare all controls map.

4. You may not want to order a bunch of extra maps - we may not print a bunch of potentially unused maps, so there will not be a lot of spares. Overages are the single digits, so large extra maps orders late stand a good chance of being un-fill-able by us.

5. Registration may close unexpectedly - if we use up most or all of the small surplus of maps, we may close registration early.
